An experiment, Poems from the Tropics is the collective effort of men and women who experience poetry - from a writer's perspective - for the very first time. As part of their Universal Literature class, these students are discovering that the emotional nature of Mankind has changed very little in time, and that their 21st century voices echo the same yearnings and emotions of our ancestors.
Here's hoping you too can discover your voice - regardless of race, age, creed or distance - in ours.

Small clouds have fallen
while white mist hits the ground
and the rest just crowds
******
while white mist hits the ground
and the rest just crowds
******
The white cloud runs wild
it flys and brings life within
and brings its darkness.
*******

In the quiet autumn
the wind is blowing so fast
leaves fall slowly.
********
Sunny summer down
hearing pleasent sound of birds
singing in their nests
********

The sadness is hurt
that ill soul
and our spirit
********
The warm breeze blows
butterflies pose on you
and display your scent.
**********

The snow is falling
it looks beautiful as heaven
falling on the streets.
******

Shiny all over the sky
the darkness wraps it around
the light arrives once again.
******
A shimmering star
glares in an empty well
traveling, alone.
it flys and brings life within
and brings its darkness.
